Tourism Management Doctorate

Aim of the doctorate program is to conduct independent research, examine and comment on scientific events with a broader and deeper perspective, gain the ability to determine the necessary steps to achieve a new synthesis.
The thesis prepared during the doctorate program must have one of the qualifications below.
1) scientific innovation
2) develop a new scientific method
3) application of a known method to a new field.

This program, for students whose master's degree is accepted, is no less than 21 credits, which consists of at least 7 courses, seminar, proficiency exam, thesis suggestion and thesis research. If the student didn't have courses which are given during doctorate program, maximum of 2 courses can be chosen from student's master's degree program. Seminar and thesis has no credits. Time to complete these courses is 4 terms for these students. 

This program, for students whose bachelors degree is accepted, is no less than 42 credits, which consists of at least 14 courses, seminar, proficiency exam, thesis suggestion and thesis research. If the student didn't have courses which are given during doctorate program, maximum of 2 courses can be chosen from student's master's degree program. Seminar and thesis has no credits. Time to complete these courses is 6 terms for these students. The total credit hours of courses taken in a semester can not exceed 15. Post-graduate courses, with the approval of the relevant academic advisor and the Graduate School Administrative Board can be selected from courses offered by other higher education institutions. Undergraduate credits do not count toward the course load and doctorate program.
