"Cultural Heritage and Tourism Workshop-2" supported by TÜBİTAK 2237-A was held.

It was supported by TÜBİTAK 2237-A for Tourism Graduate students between 4-6 November 2022 and was conducted by our Department Head, Assoc. Prof. Dr. "Cultural Heritage and Tourism Workshop-2", organized by Tülay Güzel, was held in Dardanos Campus. In the workshop, 20 graduate students from various universities in Turkey were trained by expert academics for three days. On the first day of the workshop, November 4, 2022, Prof. Dr. Erol Duran “Heritage, Tourism and UNESCO World Heritage” and “Tourism and World Heritage”, Troy Excavation Head Prof. Dr. Rüstem Aslan presented the lectures on "Tangible Cultural Heritage Values ​​and Tourism". On the second day of the workshop, November 5, 2022, Prof. Dr. Turan Takaoğlu “Faith Tourism and Places in Anatolia” and “Rural and Cultural Tourism Values ​​of Anatolia”, Dr. Ebru Özlem Korkuata presented the lectures on "Gastronomic Values ​​in Terms of Tourism and Cultural Heritage" and "The Importance of Gastronomy Culture in Terms of Tourism Destination", and Mr. Rıdvan Gölcük, Director of the Troy Museum, presented the lectures on "Cultural Heritage and Cultural Diplomacy" and "Cultural Heritage and Museology". On the last day of the workshop, November 6, 2022, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Boz presented lectures on “Myths, Epics and Legends as Intangible Cultural Heritage elements”, “Myth Tourism as a Tourism Product” and “A Western Classic Epic: Iliad and Homer”. Troy Museum Director Mr. Rıdvan Gölcük presented the lectures on "Cultural Heritage and Cultural Diplomacy" and "Cultural Heritage and Museology". On the last day of the workshop, November 6, 2022, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Boz presented lectures on “Myths, Epics and Legends as Intangible Cultural Heritage elements”, “Myth Tourism as a Tourism Product” and “A Western Classic Epic: Iliad and Homer”. Troy Museum Director Mr. Rıdvan Gölcük presented the lectures on "Cultural Heritage and Cultural Diplomacy" and "Cultural Heritage and Museology". On the last day of the workshop, November 6, 2022, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Boz presented lectures on “Myths, Epics and Legends as Intangible Cultural Heritage elements”, “Myth Tourism as a Tourism Product” and “A Western Classic Epic: Iliad and Homer”.

The workshop, which concluded successfully, was attended by Assoc. Dr. Tülay Güzel, Lecturer. See. It was carried out with a team consisting of Tarık Yalçınkaya, PhD Student Mutlu Can and 4th Year Undergraduate Student Sude Darıdereli.
